• 2 lbs ground beef lean or drained of fat after cooking
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Crumble ground beef into a deep skillet and crumble while cooking.  Add onion and garlic. Cook about half way or until onions are clear and drain fat if necessary. Add tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, sugar, and chili powder and cayenne pepper and cook till it starts to bubble.  Can move to crock pot at this point. Cook on low on stove top until it thickens or on high for 4 hours in a crock pot. Take lid off for last 15 minutes.
